In his first solo production, Argentine composer, pianist, and conductor Alejandro Casquero presents a cycle of piano works in three sections:
-Argentine Works (Chacarera, Vals-Tango, Carnavalito). Simplely structured songs that combine folk and popular rhythms with contemporary harmonies.
-Piano Studies. Three complex studies for the refinement of piano technique using milonga and Rioplatense polyrhythms.
-His first Suite in three parts, titled “Crónica.” The most porteña sound of the album with clear influences of tango and Astor Piazzolla.
