"The Empty City" is the lead single from Lucas Trosman's album "Portraits of a Time." It is an original composition with influences from Afro-Uruguayan candombe and jazz fusion. The piece is developed in a 15/8 rhythm and is one of the most electric tracks on the album. It was created during the COVID-19 lockdown, hence its name. The track features Demian Pozzo (electric guitar), Nacho Gaztañaga (electric bass), and Patricio Guinle (piano).
