The legendary sound engineer and recording technician Carlos Melero, to whom we also owe Count Basie's album at the Teatro Ópera in Buenos Aires, recorded a concert by Sarah Vaughan and her trio in 1972. Those tapes were stored for over half a century and are now published in a box with 2 CDs.

It is a material that does not miss a thing: the complete concert in the order in which it occurred. It allows us to appreciate the quality of the singer and her tremendous musicians, who don't need further presentations. Sarah enters the second song (Blue Monk is the trio's introduction) and starts the show with an impressive scat.

The booklet offers precious information, a text by the renowned journalist and music historian Sergio Pujol, and numerous graphic documents, including the program of that historic night.

The collection of the Argentine label RGS promises many other historic recordings of great names in world jazz captured by Melero in Buenos Aires theaters over almost three decades (60s, 70s, and 80s).
