"Colibrí" kicks off the self-titled album recorded by the duo composed of Victoria Zotalis and Nora Sarmoria, displaying a dazzling beauty that evokes the delicacy of the bird it references. The first four tracks, with music by Nora Sarmoria, present expansive melodies with unexpected twists. In "Zarpan manos de aire," with lyrics by Matías Mormandi, a restless piano merges influences ranging from Río de la Plata song to jazz, bossa nova, tango, and rock, creating a perfect platform for the voices of both interpreters. Victoria Zotalis surprises with her moving interpretation in "Princesa linyera," a song so Río de la Plata in its melodic expression. Next, "Ser de cuarzo," again authored by Nora, offers another showcase of the duo's compositional talent. The album includes a total of eleven songs of extraordinary creative power, some based on ironic and tender lyrics, such as "Venga zonzo y deme un beso," while in others, it is evident that the musical inspiration preceded the lyrics.
