El Diablo en la Boca is a group that ventures into improvised music, mainly with vocals and percussion. Their album "Visiones" captures this improvisation in real-time, offering a unique sonic experience that won't be repeated, much like their vibrant live concerts. The album even includes a final video track, providing an additional glimpse into their stage creativity. Comprised of two female singers (Maia Mónaco and Mariana Pereiro) and two percussionists (Alejandro Oliva and Gabriel Spiller), the group uses a signaling system to guide improvisation, similar to that used by La Bomba de Tiempo, another project in which Oliva and Spiller are involved. After years of live performances, the group organized a series in 2009, recording the sessions at the NoAvestruz venue for this album. They selected 12 pieces from these sessions, without overdubs or major changes, to capture the essence of their improvised music. The exploration of timbres and forms, both vocal and percussive, is magnificently showcased in this work.
