"Lumínilo" is the second album by Juanjo Bartolomé, released by the label Shagrada Medra, directed by Carlos "Negro" Aguirre. Unlike his first album in 2004, which was exclusively guitar-based, this new work features songs, instrumental pieces, string arrangements, guest musicians, and very rich orchestration. The sound of "Lumínilo" is primarily acoustic, with a calm and subtle pace, characteristic of Shagrada Medra productions and artists like Aca Seca and Cecilia Zabala. In this album, there's also a local root echoing, albeit led toward other sonic latitudes. The work is delicate and appealing, offering a wealth of music presented in an engaging manner, both in the instrumental compositions, where Bartolomé expresses himself with a clear and melodic language without great harmonic tensions, and in the songs, which constitute the majority of the album. The lyrics of these songs are mainly by his collaborator Lucas Amuchástegui, to which Bartolomé sets music.
