"Presente infinito" marks a significant leap, both in height and breadth, in Cecilia Zabala's career, but above all, it's a beautiful record of this moment. The singer, guitarist, and increasingly skilled songwriter presents us with an album that not only shows her in full growth (which fills us with joy) but also yields excellent results from this risky and promising endeavor completed in just a month. We've previously introduced her earlier works here (Aguaribay in 2007, and Pendiente in 2008), which we recommend to those interested in discovering and enjoying the good process we speak of. While never forgetting her roots, her own matrix, Cecilia has gradually moved away from the airs and versions of Argentine folkloric repertoire to compose her own songs with a universal imprint. This she has been consolidating in successive albums, expanding her horizons. Here, she offers a new perspective on the song, creating not only for her voice and guitar (which, it must be said, possesses an excellent combination of technique and interpretative warmth both in playing and singing) but also opting for a group formation. In this setup, many more possibilities are opened, both in terms of timbre and texture, with a successful acoustic sound.
