The title of Ricardo Liniado's album, "Suite Anónima," already suggests the clash between the popular and the classical, between folklore and chamber music, with a touch of irony and playfulness. However, there is also a third influence underlying: jazz. This amalgamation of genres is what makes Liniado's music fascinating, backed by Manolo Juárez, renowned for his genre-crossing musical endeavors, who supports this bold initiative with a text in the CD's artwork. The two suites presented in the album, "Suite Porteña" and "Suite Folklórica," recorded six years apart, have common elements and work in a specular manner, being symmetrical in their structure but differing in melodic motifs. Both are notably urban, with changes in time signature, nods to jazz or blues, and instrumental solos that showcase Liniado's compositional influence and skill.
