Florencia Bernales presents her musical project Ruta 9, which emerged after her return to Argentina following a decade in Europe, where she studied, lived, and sang. Her proposal consists of reinterpreting songs from the South American repertoire, especially Peruvian, Venezuelan, and Argentinean, from a perspective that blends the percussion of northern Brazil with other rhythms and traditions. Although it might sound experimental, the result is an attractive and innovative blend, sometimes closer to pop aesthetics than traditional folklore. Bernales, originally from Argentina and Peru, merges diverse musical traditions, embracing the richness of her multicultural heritage. Her voice, a combination of technical perfection and warmth, demonstrates that academic training does not limit expressiveness in popular singing but enriches it. Each song of Ruta 9 is a gem, the result of a long and careful production process in the studio, under the direction of Ariel Gato.
