"Leña, maíz, papelón" is a work that combines, as its title suggests, the colors, memories, flavors, and rhythms that unite certain countries in Latin America. Primarily Venezuela and Argentina, where Fabiola José resides and collaborates with musicians and poets. Thus, this album consists of a diverse collection of popular songs, including original compositions, covers, and traditional songs, as well as pieces by contemporary authors, all of whom share with the performer their sonic vision of contemporary folklore. They offer us fifteen pieces, including merengues (Venezuelan), pasajes (a rhythm named as such), zambas, and waltzes, among other styles, all recreated with good taste and a unifying character of acoustic sound, simple yet captivating.
