In this recent fifth album by Nuria Martínez in trio format, you can hear everything that the legacy of the native music from the Argentine-Bolivian highlands has left marked and sustained to this day. And there's more from the northern Argentine folklore; you can hear vidalas, zambas, and traditional music from the indigenous peoples of the Andes. The authors of the compositions already reveal the range with a strong imprint of roots that conceptualizes the album. There are songs by Ricardo Vilca, Luzmila Carpio, compilations by Leda Valladares and Leguizamón-Castilla, among others, plus some works by Nuria Martínez herself. The singularity of the work lies in the excellent performances; both Martínez and her group (Luciano Larocca on percussion and Federico Beilinson on guitar) are immersed in what they play, they know what they're talking about, with the expressiveness of the musical language they handle. The arrangements for wind instruments are clear and beautiful. The sound - and the entire production - are in clear harmony with the proposal; without compromising quality, you can tell it's done naturally, like a craft. This brings it closer and allows us to enjoy excellent moments and atmospheres, crossings with varied rhythms and enriching timbres. Contributions are made by the guests, some of whom are Franco Luciani on harmonica, Tomás Lipán on vocals, Ramiro Musotto and Fabián Tejada on percussion, and more. This album also includes four videos of other songs recorded live.
