Ana Robles is a landscape from La Rioja spinning around the world. Whether in London, where she lived for several years, or in Buenos Aires, where she now resides, it's as if she's exiled from that province always flooded with music, if not water. Could it be due to this lack of water in her homeland that Ana names and longs for water so much? The fact is that Robles' songs, filled with folk rhythms, nevertheless have a very urban imprint in their harmony and arrangements. Without elaborate words and with great ease for songwriting, she is able in a few minutes to construct a world with her storytelling. The immediate result is that one learns the songs by the second listen to "Los duendes del agua". Ana plays the piano, composes, and sings. She is also the author of all the arrangements, and it must be said that they are intense and personal; her melodies constantly escape commonplaces. The album was recorded and released in the United Kingdom in 2005 and is now being released for the first time in Argentina, an occasion that the artist will surely take advantage of to perform more frequently in public in her country. Club del Disco is exclusively presenting the release of this reissue for Argentina of an authentic and innovative material at the same time.
