Alone, without a band, without percussion, without any resources other than her electric bass and expressive voice (sometimes alternating with an electric guitar or backing vocals where she doubles herself), she takes to the streets without fear, doing something very few have dared before. Youthful recklessness? In any case, it’s a somewhat punk attitude, going forward without measuring the consequences. At the Club del Disco, we believe that her proposal deserves to be known by those members who are always looking for something new. The work, produced by Hernán Hayet (bassist of GordoLoco Trío), is balanced and features minimal details in the treatment of voices and instruments (reverb, use of stereo) that make it an interesting album of songs. A special mention should be made of Cam’s poetry, who not only played all the instruments and sang all the voices but also composed the entire album except for a cover of Bob Telson’s "Calling You." The lyrics, full of freedom, with luminous insights and some aphorisms in many passages, alternate between love narratives and mantra-like repetition. The graphics are like the music: surprising, bold, and very well executed. An independent and innovative album, unsettling, with risk and made without a safety net.
