The music of Zort is designed with an electronic mindset but is not purely electronic. It can be danceable but is meant to be listened to attentively. It may seem sophisticated, but it is accessible to any listener. It is full of paradoxes like these and is difficult (if not impossible) to classify, fortunately. With a post-punk aesthetic and a timbral use reminiscent of the best of the '80s, this trio from Córdoba offers something very original, which explains their success abroad. Their albums sell in Europe and Japan, where they tour annually. Despite this, they have not yet achieved the level of recognition they deserve among the general public, although they are among the best exponents of the growing alternative scene.
In this well-recorded album with impeccable audio, they approach pop without fearing melody or the use of harmonies with their keyboards while incorporating rhythms from both electronic and more traditional genres. This is not music for musicians alone. Tracks like "De tanto mirar" or "Mambo poa martino" allow for a relaxed listen as well as a deep, attentive one, as they operate on multiple levels simultaneously. Andrés Oddone, Adrián Bertol, and Andrés Zunino play and process everything that is heard on the album – which includes some guests – using an experimental methodology for creative work. This is their fifth album (all self-produced), marking a successful new step in their own musical journey. It is the first one the Club is sharing with its members, with great pleasure.
