Rita Lee, Sergio Días, and Arnaldo Baptista were around 20 years old when they founded the legendary group Os Mutantes in São Paulo (Brazil) in 1966 and wrote songs that, five decades later, still resonate with artists from Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, and Uruguay.
In "El Justiciero Cha Cha Cha" (Club del Disco), musicians from six countries - including Café Tacvba (Mexico), Fito Páez (Argentina), Aterciopelados (Colombia, in collaboration with Sergio Días, guitarist and founder of Os Mutantes), Liliana Herrero (Argentina) & Arnaldo Antunes (Brazil), some of the most renowned artists in Latin America, alongside other artists from the region and also from Spain (Raül Refree and Silvia Perez Cruz) - revisit and reinvent the aesthetic legacy of this band of geniuses that masterfully merged psychedelia and Tropicalismo. The result is an extraordinary and essential album, which includes illustrations by Arnaldo Baptista (bassist, keyboardist, and founder of the group), now also recognized as a visual artist.
