Vanessa Alanís's first composition for the "Canta y No Llores" project, the third preview of her third album "Desde El Jardín." The story revolves around a hummingbird they rescued from the pool on Christmas and died on the morning of the first day of 2021.
Various American legends tell that the "colibrí" (a native bird of the continent: hummingbird in English, Mainimbú in Guaraní, Huitzitzilin in Nahuatl) is a messenger from the afterlife, bringing messages of good fortune and delivering flowers to paradise.
This song is special to accompany Mexican traditions of the Day of the Dead.
