The creation of music can be represented by sinuous lines, at times straight or circular, where musical creations are a legacy passed down among composers through historical evolution, forming a collective fabric. The implicit commitment is to borrow from this legacy and contribute one's own, akin to a chain of favors.
In these three pieces designed for string quartet and bandoneon, the interweaving is not only suggested through polyphonic texture, as one might expect, but also seeks to create a narrative containing different aesthetic discourses. The bandoneon, with its sound easily associated with the world of tango and Argentine folklore, engages in dialogue and intertwines with the string quartet, an ensemble with a rich tradition in classical music. The idea behind these compositions was to unite the richness of this academic heritage, the sound that the bandoneon and its historical journey bring, and also the listening experience of countless musical styles that in some way interweave due to their moving impact.
